Domaine Rougeot Père et Fils

Meursault

The family-run winery Domaine Rougeot Père et Fils in Meursault is run by Marc Rougeot and his son Pierre-Henri. Wines are produced on 13 hectares in the Meursault, Monthélie, St Romain, Pommard and Volnay vineyards. The vineyards will be certified organic from the 2020 vintage onwards and will be converted to biodynamic Demeter farming in 2021.
The Pinot Noir grapes are harvested by hand, sorted and fermented in tanks without destemming. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with the vineyard's own yeasts without the addition of sulphites. Chardonnay and Aligoté are pressed as whole bunches and the juice is cold sedimented. Fermentation and ageing for 12 to 20 months take place in 228 litre Burgundy barrels without bâtonnage.
