Château de Béru

Chablis

Château de Béru in the east of Chablis favours biodynamic viticulture in order to express the unique terroir in the Chardonnay in the best possible way. Daughter Athénais has been converting the vineyard to Demeter-certified cultivation since 2004, which has significantly improved the quality.
The vineyards are worked gently and naturally to bring the origin into the bottle, using horses instead of tractors to loosen the soil instead of compacting it. This promotes biodiversity.

The centrepiece is the monopoly vineyard Clos Béru with 5 hectares on the typical Kimmeridge limestone of Chablis. The mineral, fresh and powerful Chardonnay wines have their own signature, which makes them unique in Burgundy.
